At the time of its completion in the 1940's, it was one of the largest indoor stadiums in the United States. I like this building because it looks like it is a part of the campus. This building does not have the typical arena architectural features that classify the building. Rather the brick exterior helps blend the building in with the rest of the Duke campus and makes it one of the more unique indoor venues in the country. I think that it kind of looks like a castle the way the corners are designed as well as the features on the exterior molding near the roof. The intricate windows also add to the architectural resemblance of a castle.
I have never visited Cameron Indoor Stadium, but being able to attend a Duke vs. North Carolina game is something that is on my bucket list. I also want to be able to check out "K-Ville" where the students camp out before home basketball games.
